Tribology in Energy and Climate Change
Monday 7th- Tuesday 8th April 2014
11th TriboUK Conference
TriboUK is an annual PhD level student tribology conference, based mainly in the United Kingdom but also open to internationally based research students. This year The University of Sheffield is proud to once again host the event. TriboUK is a student led conference which encourages researchers in the field of tribology to meet and present their research. It serves as both a platform for academic and industrial networking as well as an opportunity to learn about other areas of tribology related research. Keynote speakers will also present, this year with a loose theme of ‘Tribology in energy and climate change’.
The two day conference will be held on 7-8 April 2014 and will provide activities of oral and poster presentations by the students. Additionally three keynote speakers highly regarded in tribology will give talks in fields of their expertise. Lab tours will also be conducted to show the facilities of the Leonardo Centre of Tribology. Catering and refreshments will be available throughout the day. An optional evening meal will take place on the 7th April, followed by further opportunity to network in a more social environment. Accommodation is available if needed.
